Underfloor Heating Installation Guides

Fitting electric underfloor heating used to mean screed, self-leveller and days of waiting for floors to cure. AHT amorphous metal ribbon does away with all of that. The mats are just 1.8mm thin and lay directly under carpet, tile, wood, laminate or vinyl. No screed. No self-leveller. No raised floor levels. These guides take you through the whole job, floor type by floor type, from planning your layout to putting the final floor covering down.

Pick the guide for your floor below. Each one covers what to buy, how to prepare the subfloor, how to lay the ribbon and what to check before the floor goes on top. Planning and laying the mats is a job most competent DIYers can handle in an afternoon. The one part you must not do yourself is the final electrical connection. That has to be made by a qualified electrician, working to UK Part P and BS 7671. Every guide repeats that rule, because it matters.
